The LFD-420 series are non-invasive transit ultrasound flowmeters for liquid fluids in pipes at full load.

This type of flowmeter is the ideal solution for flow measurement in products that are impossible to measure by other methods, or that it is not feasible to intervene in the duct, or there is a risk of leaks, such as with hydrocarbons or liquid fuels.

The LFD-420 measures fluid velocity by calculating the transit time between two separate transducers that function as both ultrasonic transmitters and receivers. The difference in transit time measured is directly and exactly proportional to the velocity of the liquid in the pipe.

The LFD-420 transmitter allows the measurement of liquid flow in a wide range of pipes or ducts made of different materials, containing everything from ultra pure water to liquids with suspended solids, as well as viscous liquids, etc.
