The SCP-60 are air or gas velocity meters using a tapered tube Pitot probe and a differential pressure meter with signal conditioning.

It consists in that when a fluid circulates through a conduit in which a Pitot probe directed at the flow has been placed, an impact pressure is produced that is proportional to the square of the speed of the fluid, so knowing the section of the conduit and extracting the square root of the pressure signal is used to obtain the speed and flow measurement.
